| Don't fuck with the power of the people or you might get shot Children under fire Violence has plagued our society for many years. It has been in our country since Columbus first step foot here. But no one would ever expect the events that occurred on April 20, 1999 when two Colorado high school students that were known to be in a group called the �Trench coat Mafia� pulled up to Columbine High School and then begin entering the school through the cafeteria. While doing so one of the members was in the parking lot throwing pipe bombs at cars and shooting at students of the high school. My opinion about this massacre is that why could no one see the signs that the attackers were showing leading up to date on this. Apparently, the two young men a year before had made a video of themselves going through the school on a rampage killing those of �color� and those related to sports also known as �jocks�. The stupid thing about this video is that it was a warning sign and the school did not even take any action until it was too late. Fifteen people were killed in this whole ordeal and two of which were the gunmen themselves who had planned this out over a week of working on pipe bombs , gathering guns and ammunition and even building a bomb out of a thirty pound propane tank that was set to go off in the cafeteria at school lunch time but never did. I think that violence was not justified on the day the children of Columbine High died because this was a cruel act toward society and all over across the nation people are starting to follow this example and act towards others in this way by joining so called �gangs� or goth �cults�. In conclusion, the people of society have proven that the struggle to have power over others can prove to end in a hostile and dissatisfying way.
